Picnic Area: |
Two picnic pavilions; each has a concrete floor, multiple picnic tables and an adjacent cooking grill. The tables, although not “accessible” type, have extra overhang with plenty of room for wheelchair knee space. The cooking grills are at an accessible height but do not have a paved path leading to them. The pavilions are located on paved paths but the connecting path between the 2 pavilions has a fairly steep grade. |

Description: |
Shenantaha Park is fairly new and is very accessible with the exception of access to the cooking grills. The park is located in a nicely wooded setting with both sun and shaded areas. There are basketball courts that are not currently accessible. The park is the main access point for the Malta Town bike path. Wheelchair access to this path provides miles of paved multi-use trail with beautiful scenery. |
